We can digitize your audio source material for delivery over the web, using the following formats:

Click to hear comparative samples

midi - musical instrument sounds produced by the synthesizer chip in your computer. Very small file size - quick downloads - quality can be very good depending on your sound card.

.WAV - Pulse Code Modulated digital audio - Very large file size - slow downloads - quality can acheive the level of a Compact Disc depending on the sample rate.

RealAudio a widely used compressed audio format that succeeds at quick downloads at the expense of a certain amount of clarity

.mp3  Mpeg3, a very high quality, stereo, very near CD format. Plays best when downloaded in its entirety, which doesn't take long because the file sizes are almost as small as RealAudio..  Many free players are available.  The latest version of Windows Media Player supports .mp3 files There are those who feel the quality is too good, that retail CD sales would be discouraged.  TruMedia suggests using a monaural RealAudio file to give listeners a clear enough listen to your work (in its entirety if you wish) and still have something more to offer by purchasing your CD..  Various fee per download schemes are being developed, but a standard method has yet to be agreed on.  Often only excerpts will be posted as .mp3.  There has been a fair amount of controversy surrounding .mp3 files and the jury is still out on pay-per-vue and copy protection,  If it is the client's wish to use mpeg3 files, we will encode them as instructed. - you will be amazed at their quality!
