Custom Multimedia Elements
For Your Web Site RealVideo encoding from your VHS or 8mm video tape.
Requires RealPlayer G2
Video elements can be integrated into your web site for any number of
purposes.
TruMedia uses RealVideo to reach the widest audience, most of whom connect to
the internet through a dial up connection.
There are certain issues to take into consideration when preparing a video
presentation for webcast. The trade-offs consist of choosing between:
-
Image clarity vs. smoothness of motion.
-
Image size vs. smoothness of motion
-
Audio clarity vs. visual clarity
For example: if the subject matter doesn't feature a lot of action, you
could give your audience a fairly large image at a low frame rate as in this
example shot at the Museum of Architecture in Montreal.

You'll notice that, usually, RealMedia launches its own player separate from
the browser window. If you prefer, we can put the video player directly on your
web page as in the following...

If your subject matter contains a lot of action, you might want to use a
smaller image size to allow a higher frame rate, giving the viewer a better
impression of smooth motion. The RealPlayer can be set to view small
images at double size without impairing the frame rate. Try that setting
with this example recently shot at an Air Show in Durham, Connecticut.
