SISTA-HYSTRY: A few months into the new Millennium, a NY producer hand selected 5 multi-talented female musicians: Denise Troy (vocals & keyboards), Tina Jean (vocals & sax), Vange Durst (vocals & guitar), Wendy Taylor (vocals & bass) & Amy Blaze (drums & percussion) to score & perform a theatrical Cabaret production, "She’s A Rebel". Their connection was immediate, and their combined energy was purely overwhelming; this was the birth of SISTER FUNK. PAST & RECENT FUNKY EXPERIENCES: These five sistas are no strangers to the music scene. Their combined experiences include local & national tours with artist such as Vickie Sue Robinson, Sara Lee, Melissa Ferrick, Chris Williamson, Michele Malone & Suzanne Westenhoffer, over a dozen recorded original CD’s : "Premonition", "Alchemy", " Don’t Tell Me Nothin’," just to name a few; local & national radio play: 99.1 FM (WPLR), 88.7FM (WNHU), 89.1 (WPKN), & promotion of many fund raisers and benefit concerts raising thousands for non-profit organizations such as AIDS project New Haven, Aid Ministry Hartford & The Newtown Children’s Benefit.
